Best of The Armory 2009 Title: 288Artist: Corban WalkerMedium: Sculpture This Corban Walker sculpture was tactfully placed next to a Tara Donovan sculpture (it even reminds me of one of her pieces), and they looked great side by side. A quick Google search shows that Walker has done a lot really interesting stacked glass compositions. I love that the footprint of the sculpture is a rectangular box, and the gradual shift of the glass gives it so much form. The translucency of the glass is also captivating. This is fun to look at from different angles. Fun Fact: Walker’s…sculptures…stand at a maximum height of 44 inches, within the scale of the artist’s own height of 4 feet.
